DOR CAV

What size cavities can the Dor Cav be used on?

The Dor Cav is designed to be used on cavity widths ranging from 150mm down to 75mm.

What length Dor Cav do I need?

The Dor Cav should be the same length as the door opening width or the nearest size up. For example, on a door opening of 900mm wide you would require a 1000mm Dor Cav that can then be cut down to 900mm on site.

What lengths of Dor Cav do you sell?

We sell lengths of 1000mm, 1800mm and 2400mm. Note that Dor Cav’s can be abutted together on wider opening such as doors over 2400mm. For example, on a door opening that is 3200mm wide this would require 1 x 1000mm and 1 x 2400mm.

BLOC SEAL

How big is the block?

Our Bloc Seal is the same size as a standard concrete building block, 440x215x100mm.

Are there different options to buy?

We currently sell one type of block that comes with 2 x offset aperture holes. This allows for 4 x positions to best suit your needs as the block can be rotated 180 degrees and both types of seals can be used in either aperture.

What seals do the block come with?

All blocks come as standard with 1x110mm seal for a normal soil pipe and a 1xcustom seal that can be used for any size pipe/duct ranging from 10mm to 110mm. Alternatively the 1xcustom seal can be left uncut as a blanking plug if not required.

Can I buy another custom seal?

Yes, we sell the custom seals separately if you want to swap this for the 110mm soil pipe seal giving you 2xcustom seals to use on a single block.

INSU CLIP

What size insulation does the clip retain?

The Insu Clip is designed to hold 25mm PIR insulation securely in place where the external walls meet the screed to stop lateral cold bridging. 25mm PIR insulation is the thickness required to achieve the correct thermal levels as set out in building regulations document L.

I’ve seen thin rolls of foam used on the external walls, is this the correct product for thermal bridging?

No, the thin rolls of foam insulation that are sometimes provided with kits such as underfloor heating is to help with the expansion of screed against walls.
It should not be confused with correct 25mm PIR insulation that should be used on all external walls to meet document L and SAPS requirements.

What quantity of Insu Clips do you sell?

We currently sell Insu Clips in bags of 20, 50 and 100.
